Park Place Daycare is an early childhood education program with multiple locations in Brooklyn. We are dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in alignment with early childhood education standards. Your role will involve working closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure the well-being and growth of each child in your care.

Leads Must

Must have a associates degree in Early Childhood Education.

But can also have a Bachelors Degree in:

Elementary Education Nursery to 6th Grade Elementary Education Special Education Students With Disabilities, Birth to 2nd Grade Students With Disabilities, 1st to 6th Grade Child Psychology* Child Development* General Education* *These fields of study are required to be accompanied by 12 credits specific to Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote learning through play.
  • Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's behavior positively and constructively.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the preschool program.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in early childhood education, including Montessori methods and early intervention strategies.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in daycare or preschool settings is preferred.
  • Strong background in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with lesson planning tailored for young children’s developmental stages.
  • Experience with Montessori principles is a plus but not required.
  • A passion for child welfare and early intervention practices is essential.
  • Experience tutoring or mentoring young children can be beneficial.
