Job Summary
Looking for a toddler teacher to join our team. We are currently looking for a teacher who is willing to learn and grow as we partner with Neighbor Impact and start Implementing the Pyramid Model in that classroom. As a center the expectation is that we set the bar higher for childcare.
Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and bathroom breaks to ensure comfort and hygiene for each child.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and encouraging positive social interactions.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing behavior management strategies under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and materials regularly.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing development assessments.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's activities and well-being when appropriate.
- Show up on time ready to go in your classroom
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to provide nurturing care with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification or training in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
