Toddler Teacher

We have an immediate need for a Full Time Daycare Teacher for our Toddler Room.

This position is day shift, Full Time, Monday - Friday.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
• Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises
• Provide basic care and care-giving activities
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
• Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track
• Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children
• Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
• Collaborate with other colleagues
• Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the PA Dept. of Human Services
• Assist teachers in creating lesson plans and maintaining a safe classroom environment
• Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
• Monitor children during outdoor activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning
• Work with teachers to maintain communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situations

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 2 years or more of experience working with children
• State & Federal Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
