Toddler Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture and support the developmental journey of our youngest learners. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for toddlers. Your positive energy and caregiving skills will foster curiosity, social skills, and independence in children aged one to three years old. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while developing your skills in childhood education and classroom management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including social-emotional, cognitive, and motor skills.
  • Provide attentive toddler care by supporting feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and learning through play, music, stories, and hands-on exploration.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.
  • Assist with behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions and emotional regulation among toddlers.
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and individual needs, including working with children with disabilities or special needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with children.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
