Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Teacher/Floater, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and thrive! In this dynamic role, you’ll provide engaging care and education to toddlers, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes their developmental milestones. As a floater, you’ll also support various classrooms, bringing flexibility and extra hands to our busy center. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while developing your skills in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Support classroom management by guiding children’s behavior with positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with childhood development standards.
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs for infants and toddlers.
  • Provide flexible coverage across different classrooms as needed, ensuring continuity of care for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and daily experiences.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on safety, patience, and nurturing support for children’s individual needs.
