Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tool Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tooling used in various manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality parts and components, supporting our commitment to excellence and efficiency. Duties

  • Fabricate, assemble, and modify tools using hand tools, welding techniques, and fabrication equipment to meet specifications.
  • Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards, and electrical schematics for accurate fabrication.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tooling equipment and troubleshoot issues related to machining processes or tool wear.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure tools meet quality standards for stamping presses, or other production processes.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all fabrication and machining activities to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Tool Die Maker or in a similar machining or fabrication role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control of tooling components.
  • Hands-on experience with welding techniques used in tool fabrication and repair.
  • Mechanical knowledge of stamping presses, and general manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and schematics interpretation.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
  • Strong math skills necessary for precise measurements, calculations, and machine setup.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
