General Job Description

The Senior Fabrication Fabricator is responsible for producing fabricated products in the fabrication shop for FabACab Inc., and providing leadership, support, and training to Fabrication Technicians. Primary functions include organizing, prioritizing, fabricating, and finishing products from raw materials. The position is production-based and will perform work prioritized by product demand. The Senior Fabrication Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness in the fab shop, participating in company culture objectives, and maintaining a positive attitude. Measures of success will include beating efficiency, quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

· Attend and participate in weekly team huddles

· Meet semi-annually for review with the Fabrication Manager

· Master cutting, bending, punching, shearing, and tig/mig welding practices efficiently with a focus on quality, to FabACab’s quality expectations and best practices

· Represent FabACab to suppliers, vendors, and shipping professionals

· Efficiently maintain a process of communication internally and with vendors – 24-hour maximum response time

· Lead and train fabrication technicians to help them grow

· Identify and report product issues to the Fabrication Manager

· Perform work prioritized by the Fabrication Manager

· Help keep the Fabrication Shop clean, organized, and clearly labeled

Minor Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications for the Job

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

(5) years metal fabrication

Other (Preferred):

Mechanical aptitude a plus

Mastery of all fabrication aspects of FabACab’s product line

Press brake operation

Shear operation

Water Jet / Laser Operation

Basic Computer Aided Drafting
