Tool & Die Maker Needed

Iroquois Industries, Inc. is a tier-one automotive supplier of stampings and sub-assemblies seeking experienced individuals to fill openings for our Tool & Die Maker (Repairman) positions at our Kay Industrial facility in Orion, MI.

Tool & Die Maker - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be a teammate in a 5-7-person crew to maintain approximately 30 dies.
• Perform corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in the evaluation of production problems due to tooling design or condition.
• Inventory and order replacement items needed for tooling-i.e. punches, springs, etc.
• Support Production during your die’s allotted run time.

Tool & Die Maker - Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Experience in operating on lathes, milling machines, grinders, welders, saws and other related machinery.
• Knowledge of Progressive and Transfer Dies.
• Experience working with presses and related equipment.
• Knowledge of die mechanics.
• Strong work ethic and a team player.
• 2 – 4 years in the Tool & Die trade.
• Knowledge in tool repair.
• Ability to work 40/50 hrs. weekly
