Tooling Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tooling Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving tooling and fixtures used in our manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, project scheduling, and process engineering to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The Tooling Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

· Creates design sketches, layouts and plans

· Coordinates all activities in build, design and modification of new and existing die projects

· Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components for production

· Uses CAD software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.

· Manage engineering CAD files in an organized and comprehensible format

· Assists manufacturing with improvement on existing work

· Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs

· Troubleshoots equipment, tooling and materials for samples and production.

· Assist with quoting process.

· Provides production support through documented process set-ups, monitoring, and adjustments. Troubleshoots equipment, tooling, and materials for samples and production.

· Supports new product launch activities through process validation, part cost justification, packaging, and control plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other design software.
• Understanding of process engineering principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
