A Tour Consultant is responsible for planning, organizing, and selling customized travel itineraries and tour packages to clients. The role involves providing expert travel advice, ensuring client satisfaction, and managing all travel arrangements, including accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation:

Understand clients’ travel needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend suitable destinations and tour options.

  • Tour Planning and Quotation:

Design detailed travel itineraries, prepare quotations, and tailor travel packages according to individual or group requirements.

  • Booking Management:

Arrange flights, hotels, transfers, tours, and other travel services through suppliers and global distribution systems (GDS) or other platforms.

  • Customer Service:

Provide pre-travel advice, resolve customer queries, handle complaints, and offer after-sales support to ensure a positive travel experience.

  • Documentation:

Assist clients with travel insurance, visa applications, and other necessary documentation.

  • Sales & Revenue:

Meet monthly sales targets by promoting tours and travel products, cross-selling, and up-selling related services.

  • Supplier Coordination:

Communicate with hotels, airlines, and local tour operators to ensure smooth travel operations.

  • Market Knowledge:

Stay updated on global destinations, travel trends, pricing, and tourism regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry (depending on seniority).
  • Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
