Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Store/Kitchen Manager to lead our Tous les Jours bakery location. This pivotal role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional customer service, and high-quality food production. As a Store/Kitchen Manager, you will oversee all aspects of bakery and kitchen functions, manage staff, control inventory, and uphold food safety standards. Duties

Kitchen management (50%)- Tous les Jours Bakery Café kitchen managers hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. The ideal candidate must have strong culinary knowledge as well as technical and customer service skills.

  • Supervise daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and kitchen management to ensure product quality and consistency according to CJ Foodville standard
  • Ensures that product quality, freshness and presentation meet company standards for bake, cake, sandwich and beverage.
  • Conduct a thorough line check at the beginning of every shift
  • Manage food cost and BOH labor cost- setting proper pars according to menu mix, accurate ordering and inventory, scheduling, and maximizing yield
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and development of BOH employees
  • Work closely with GM to develop new menu items
  • Educate and train employees about safety and sanitation
  • Work closely with CJ Foodville team from Korea to develop and implement menu items

Store management (50%)

  • Support GM for all his/her duties – an acting GM when other managers are not present
  • Responsible for all daily restaurant operations – opening and closing
  • Responsible for all operations P&L
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
  • Responsible for effective communication and problem resolution with customers, employees, and vendors
  • Work closely with GM to develop and maintain effective marketing plans
  • Implement training & development programs to enhance staff skills in culinary techniques, food production, and hospitality management
  • Initial claim issues, being able to report it to the right department
  • Monitor, report, and take action on any incidents that occur
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the bakery and kitchen areas
  • Lead and train staff on food handling, safety procedures, POS systems and customer service excellence
  • Oversee cash handling processes, including balancing registers and preparing financial reports
  • Coordinate shift schedules, manage team performance, and conduct interviewing for new staff to build a strong team

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years kitchen management experience in high-volume retail, bakery, hospitality, or restaurant venue required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Hospitality or culinary preferred
  • Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management or restaurant management within quick service or fast food environments
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in staff training & development
  • Familiarity with POS systems for sales transactions and reporting
  • Knowledge of inventory control, food safety standards, and budgeting principles in a food service setting
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and store operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and early morning shifts
