Tow Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing excellent customer service. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. A strong commitment to safety and professionalism is essential.

Duties

• Operate tow trucks to safely load, transport, and unload vehicles.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance on tow trucks as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with vehicle issues and ensuring a positive experience.
• Drive vehicles in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Utilize manual transmission when necessary for specific towing situations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the tow truck to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including mileage and fuel usage.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to respond promptly to service calls.

Requirements

• Valid Tow truck endorsement is preferred; experience with commercial driving is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency in operating flatbed tow trucks and other towing equipment.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Capability to load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring minimal damage during transport.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience as a tow truck driver or in a related field is a plus.
