Towing Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Towing Dispatcher to coordinate and manage towing operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispatching tow trucks, communicating with drivers and customers, and utilizing various transportation management tools to ensure timely service delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in data entry, and familiarity with logistics and transportation systems to support our fleet management operations.

Duties

• Dispatch tow trucks promptly using multi-line phone systems and dispatch software.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and service providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor fleet status and manage logistics to optimize efficiency across the operation.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, vehicle locations, and customer interactions through data entry.
• Communicate effectively via phone etiquette and professional communication skills to address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
• Assist with shipping & receiving tasks as needed, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Support supply chain coordination by analyzing transportation data to improve planning and execution.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers and manage freight-related activities to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching within transportation or logistics industries.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret transportation data for decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal/written expression.
• Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multi-line phone systems efficiently.
• Experience with transportation planning, logistics coordination, or freight management is a plus.
