You'll have...
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge and more than 5 years of experience leading Design & Release (D&R) teams, specifically at Ford Motor Company
- Experience in supplier relationship management.
- Experience leading diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Failure Mode Avoidance principles and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, teaching, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Broad interpersonal skills, enabling team facilitation and effective interfacing with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under operational pressures and to set priorities for themselves and for team members they will interact with

What you'll do...
Cradle to Grave responsibility for Purchased Inverters: uPS through uJ1 + OPD Quality and TVM.
Support all unit/program milestones on time, with quality, and on budget.
Issue FSS ESOW, SDS/CDS. Create/maintain electrical DT’s.
Scrutinize Supplier Design for cost efficiency and capability to meet requirements.
Scrutinize Supplier EDT and process through Gov Board.
Complete Quality Documents with FSS: Boundary Diagram, DFMEA, Change Analysis, SCCAF, etc.. and Complete Campaign Prevent reviews.
Coordinate with UNSE eDrive on package and manufacturing integration. Coordinate with Systems and EVEMS teams on Battery Voltage, Drive Cycles, and System Requirements. Coordinate with Cooling team on Pressure Drop and Flow Rate to meet performance requirements. Coordinate with Application Software, Calibration, and Functional Safety teams for SW requirements, changes and releases. Coordinate header selection with HV/LV connector teams.
Ensure successful Prototype Builds: timely design freezes, orders placed on time, supplier meets Ford MRD’s with appropriate quality controls.
Oversee FSS DV testing: define DV Plan, track progress to Schedule, review results with Core Eng, post all evidence to FEDE for signoff. Root cause any DV failures, verify Corrective Action and develop Prevent Reoccurrence as appropriate. No gating issues at uFDJ and PEC.
Scrutinize Content, Cost and Timing for all required Design Changes. Seek appropriate approvals and process DCR’s. Release ISC assembly WERS drawing and MGCU HW/SW structure. Support unit financial milestones with status, roadmap, risks and opps.
Oversee FSS Industrialization: ensure Design Freeze and Testing supports KO. Scrutinize Supplier Process and Control Plan. Participate in eAPQP reviews. Define PV plan, track progress to Schedule, review results with Core Eng and sign off. Ensure PPAP supports program launch milestones.
