Please be aware that to qualify for our Internship Placement, students must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines) and returning to their studies after the 12 month placement concludes.

Purpose of the Internship:The Global Internship Programme is an exciting opportunity to get first-hand experience in a world-class marketing organisation.

Note: This role may involve domestic and international travel and the occasional need to work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends.

Set up under the auspices of the Good Friday Agreement, Tourism Ireland plays an important role as a North South body for a key industry on the island of Ireland, serving both Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Key Results Area
  • Assist the Trade & Industry Engagement Manager and Department with the deployment of Tourism Ireland’s trade. communications programme (e.g. trade e-zines, webinars, social media) to include creation of industry opportunities content and maintenance of a US market page on Tourism Ireland’s trade website.
  • Support delivery of national programme of targeted and measurable Business to Business (B2B) trade promotions and sales platform events for the island of Ireland industry and US market trade partners.
  • Assist in the coordination of planning and attendance at select consumer events (e.g. PGA Golf Show & Milwaukee Irish Fest).
  • Assist with & create content, showcasing trade activities for Tourism Ireland’s presentations to trade and industry
  • Provide administration support as directed by Trade & Industry Engagement Manager to support Trade & Industry Engagement Department.
  • Occasional Reception desk coverage as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s GDPR compliance policies and procedures in respect of your area of work
  • Represent Tourism Ireland at various industry, press and corporate events
  • Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require.
The Person
The successful Intern will possess the following skills, experience and competencies.
Essential
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines will be considered)
  • Must be returning to complete studies after the completion of the placement
  • The legal right to live and work in New York for the full duration of the programme
  • Fluent English, both oral and written, is required
  • Proficient in MS Office
