Trade Support Analyst

Strategic Staffing Solutions client is a full-service technology consulting and custom software development firm specializing in solutions for the financial services industry. The organization partners with leading global financial institutions to design, build, implement, and support robust trading and investment management systems.


As a Trade Support Analyst , you will play a key role supporting a leading Order Management System (OMS) platform focused on credit trading workflows. This position blends functional trade support expertise with hands-on technical troubleshooting and configuration work.

You will operate at the intersection of trading operations and technology — partnering directly with traders, compliance, and operations teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and ensure seamless system performance in a fast-paced capital markets environment. Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support for an OMS platform supporting credit trading workflows (corporate bonds, loans, structured products, etc.).
  • Triage and resolve issues from trading desks, compliance, and operations users during market hours.
  • Investigate and remediate trade reconciliation breaks between OMS and downstream systems.
  • Respond to user inquiries regarding trade exceptions, system functionality, and data discrepancies.
  • Perform system configuration tasks (e.g., modifying views, adding columns, user setup).
  • Write SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Support front-to-back trade lifecycle processes and data flows.
  • Document issue resolutions and maintain operational runbooks and support documentation.


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in capital markets operations, trade support, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of credit trading workflows, including corporate bonds, loans, and structured products.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one industry-standard Order Management System (e.g., Charles River, Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, Eze, SimCorp, or similar).
  • Deep knowledge of the full trade lifecycle and front-to-back office data flows.
  • Experience supporting traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and operations teams (buy-side preferred; sell-side acceptable).
  • Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to write queries for data extraction, analysis, troubleshooting, and configuration.
  • Knowledge of XML/XSLT/XPath.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting Windows-based trading applications.
  • Development experience or familiarity with programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure during trading hours.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a regulated environment.
