Traffic Control Crew Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow on construction sites and other work zones. This position requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, clients, and the public.

Duties

• Supervise direction of traffic using hand signals, flags, or other devices to ensure safe passage through construction zones.
• Monitor and manage the movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites.
• Coordinate with construction crews to facilitate safe work practices while minimizing disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations and protocols at all times.
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding site conditions and traffic patterns.

Skills and Requirements

• DOT certification and large truck experience
• Supervisory Experience
• Strong understanding of construction site dynamics and traffic control measures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and the public.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during operations.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland Traffic Control Standards
• Dependability and Reliability a must
• Your Own Reliable Transportation that is not shared and not public transportation
• the ability to work full days without interruption or other obligations
• Clear driving record and driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
