For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:


Traffic Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

Highly motivated and experienced traffic engineer with a minimum experience of 8 years, to join our Cairo, Egypt office.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TTMPs) for construction and maintenance activities on urban and highway networks.
  • Develop detailed design drawings including plan, profile, typical sections, and cross-sections for traffic diversions and staging works.
  • Coordinate and liaise with design teams, contractors, and local authorities for approval of TTMPs and traffic diversion permits.
  • Conduct site assessments to understand existing traffic conditions and propose suitable diversion and phasing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with road safety standards, geometric design guidelines, and traffic control regulations as per relevant authority requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, method statements, and construction phasing diagrams to support TTMP submissions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Review contractor submissions, respond to technical queries, and ensure adherence to approved traffic management designs during implementation.
  • Coordinate with Road Safety Auditors, site supervision teams, and stakeholders to ensure the safe execution of diversion plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Traffic Engineering, with proven expertise in TTMP preparation and traffic diversion design.
  • Strong understanding of road geometry, traffic control devices, and temporary road layouts.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic management drafting tools.
  • Familiarity with local authority standards (GCC) and international guidelines
  • TTMP Design & Approval Coordination
  • Traffic Diversion & Construction Staging
  • Road Safety & Work Zone Planning
  • GCC experience is mandatory
