Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Traffic Engineering Designer to join our dynamic Infrastructure team at our King of Prussia office.This position reports to a Professional Engineer and is responsible for completing traffic signal design plans and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) services, in addition to, but not limited to signing and pavement marking plans, traffic control design, traffic impact studies, crash analysis, traffic calming designs, HOP reviews, etc.

Candidate MUST be willing to be in our King of Prussia office in a hybrid setting.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:

  • Performs engineering computations, conducts evaluations, design analyses, and design development.
  • Prepares reports, recommendations and opinions for approval by a supervising Professional Engineer.
  • Applies standard engineering practices and techniques to adjust and correlate data; recognizes and resolves discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related steps or processes.
  • Works as a member of project team in the development of data and/or applications.
  • Acts as a technical advisor to technical staff. Uses CAD develop engineering and design documents. Participates in firm-wide quality initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • Must have two (2) years related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Must be able to read, analyze and interpret basic scientific, technical, financial and legal documents.
  • Must be able to apply mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations
  • Must be able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
  • Must have average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
  • Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
  • Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Must be familiar with discipline related software applications.
