Trailer Body Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

• Welding; minor and major body repairs

• Removing decals from Trailers

• Repair or removing insulations from Trailers

• Working with metal panels by straightening and completing bondo work as needed

• Realigning structural components

• Communicating with management about additional damage beyond original repair orders

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Complying with all company, OHSA and EPA rules and guidelines

• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

• Time Management skills

• Self-motivated

• Safety first mindset

• Resilient work ethic and a commitment to extra hours when needed

• Strong Communication Skills.

• A pre-employment physical and drug screening is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic welding skills

• Basic painting experience

• Aluminum Welding

• Liner Repairs

• Ceiling Liners

• Landing Gear Repairs

• Door Frame Replacements

• Preventable Maintenance in Trailer Mechanics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trailers/tight spaces

• Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements

• Using hands to handle, control or feel

• Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
