Job Description – Trailer Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate trailers, trucks, and heavy vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment between specified destinations.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance checks of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness (oil, water, tires, brakes, lights).
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods to avoid damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Report accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly to management.
• Ensure timely delivery of shipments while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
• Assist with route planning and comply with schedules as assigned by the transport manager.

Requirements:

• Valid Heavy Vehicle / Trailer Driving License (as per local regulations).
• Minimum [X] years of proven experience as a Trailer/Heavy Truck Driver.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations, traffic laws, and heavy vehicle operations.
• Ability to handle long-distance driving and flexible working hours.
• Physically fit to manage loading/unloading activities if required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting on the road.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.

Preferred:
