Job Summary
We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic individual looking to jumpstart a career in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The Trainee Chemist will be analyzing pharmaceutical raw materials, process intermediates and finished product stability samples while following approved standard test methods and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop analytical methods under supervision.
- Validate analytical methods under supervision.
- Analyzes pharmaceutical raw materials, process intermediates and finished product stability samples following approved standard test methods and procedures.
- Performs Chemical analysis work under supervision.
- Documents the testing sequences of steps results as per STMs and SOPs.
- Calculate and interprets test results as per test methods and specifications.
- Notifies supervisor of out of specification (OOS)/Out of Trend (OOT) test results.
- Operates, maintains, and calibrates equipment in assigned area.
- Performs work related assignments as required by management.
- Reviews documentation.
- Follows safety rules.
- Conducts basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Coordinates as required the maintenance of lab equipment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with advanced analytical instruments such as UPLC, GC, GC-MS, Zetasizer, SEC-MALLS, and Ion Chromatography.
- Knowledge of analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH, USFDA) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,483.61 - $57,184.56 per year
