Job Overview

Value Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Planning & Estimation Engineer to join our team. This position is well-suited for fresh Civil Engineering graduates who are eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and technical documentation within a professional engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and timelines using planning tools.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules as required.
• Assist with material, labor, and cost analysis for current and upcoming projects.
• Maintain and organize planning and estimation documents.
• Coordinate with project, site, and procurement teams to collect required data.
• Support senior engineers in tendering, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Learn and apply industry standards, best practices, and company procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Basic understanding of construction planning and estimation concepts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory); familiarity with MS Project or Primavera is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
