Training & Academics Manager (TaRL Lead)

Location: Karachi, with regular field travel to target districts (Keamari/Malir).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Training Design & Material Development

  • Design, test, and revise all training content and professional development materials for teachers, school leaders, field coordinators, community members, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and adapt TaRL-aligned instructional materials, classroom activities, and assessment tools for Sindhi, Urdu, and numeracy learning.
  • Develop and refine training manuals, facilitator guides, and instructional toolkits for all tiers of the project.
  • Design academic calendars for implementation in ITA/partner schools and ensure alignment with government school calendars.
  • Define, update, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all training-related activities at every tier of the organization.

Training Delivery & Capacity Building

  • Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments for teachers, coordinators, and field mentors.
  • Lead and facilitate training sessions on FLN/TaRL for master trainers, field teams, and teachers.
  • Provide structured on-the-job support, coaching, and mentoring to teachers and volunteers involved in FLN/TaRL project activities.
  • Supervise and monitor training replications conducted by district training teams, ensuring fidelity and quality.
  • Conduct regular school and classroom observations, providing evidence-based constructive feedback to teachers and field staff.

Assessment & Quality Assurance

  • Design and implement robust monitoring and evaluation tools for quality assurance of training outcomes.
  • Conduct baseline, midline, and endline independent assessments of student learning outcomes in project schools.
  • Supervise assessments and examinations conducted in partner schools as part of regular academic cycles.
  • Analyze training and learning data to devise evidence-based action points for school leaders, teachers, and field staff.
  • Summarize and communicate training and assessment results to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with operations, finance, programme, and district teams for the seamless execution of training activities.
  • Follow up on and respond to online and offline queries from district teams and teachers via phone, WhatsApp, email, and other platforms.
  • Compile and organize all training, assessment, evaluation, and monitoring data systematically.
  • Create and maintain linkages with potential partners and organizations to expand the impact of capacity-building initiatives.
  • Prepare regular progress reports on training activities, coverage, and learning outcomes for management and donor reporting.

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
