Job Summary:

One Safe Place is seeking a full-time Training Coordinator to lead specialized law enforcement training initiatives under the Hidden Homicides: A Collaborative Response to Domestic Violence project funded under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Justice and Training Program. The Coordinator will design, implement, and deliver evidence-based training programs for law enforcement, prosecutors, and other crime prevention professionals, focusing on domestic violence dynamics, high-risk factors, and staged suicides. This role also includes coordinating a multi-disciplinary team and developing protocols for case reviews to strengthen investigative practices and enhance victim safety.

Job Title: Hidden Homicide - Training Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university (required).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working with crime victims or in law enforcement.
  • Experience in training development and delivery preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, investigative protocols, and forensic indicators.
  • Availability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work in various environments, both on and off-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop curriculum covering crime scene indicators, victimology, offender behavior, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Coordinate and conduct regional training sessions for homicide detectives, crime scene investigators, and first responders.
  • Work closely with law enforcement agencies, forensic professionals, prosecutors, and victim service providers to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Track training outcomes through assessments, maintain program documentation, and contribute to reporting for grant compliance.
  • Support public awareness initiatives related to domestic violence homicide prevention.
  • Travel within Tarrant County to conduct training for law enforcement jurisdictions
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Track participation, maintain program documentation, and contribute to reporting for grant compliance and program evaluation.

Job Type:

Full-time. Work schedule includes 40 hours per week; may include evening and weekend hours due to training activities.

Salary:

$45,000 – $50,000 per year, less applicable taxes and deductions.
