Job Introduction:

The Training & Development Chief is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all training and development activities across Murat Ticaret plants. In this role, you will ensure training needs are accurately identified, programs are effectively delivered, and all training activities are aligned with business objectives, legal requirements, and company standards. You will collaborate closely with HR, plant management, and functional leaders to build a skilled, compliant, and future-ready workforce.


Company Introduction:

In this role, you will be based in Turkey and support all Murat Ticaret plants. Murat Ticaret, acquired by Volex in 2023, is a leading producer of wiring harnesses and battery cables for off-highway and specialist vehicles, as well as powercords for consumer electronics. The business employs around 3,600 people across 11 manufacturing sites in Turkey.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training needs analyses (TNA) for blue- and white-collar roles and translate them into annual training plans.
  • Develop, schedule, and coordinate internal and external training programs, including onboarding, technical, leadership, compliance, and mandatory trainings.
  • Prepare and manage the annual training budget, monitoring costs, utilization, and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate plant-level trainers, internal experts, and external training providers to ensure consistent delivery and standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certification tracking, and compliance with legal and audit requirements.
  • Support TPS / Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen activities, 5S, and standardization through training and coaching.
  • Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve content, methods, and delivery approaches, including e-learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Plant Managers, and functional leaders to support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, HR Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in training and development, preferably in manufacturing, electronics, or EMS sectors.
  • Experience in change management, talent development, and organizational development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Turkish labor law and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, perseverance, and proactive approach to driving improvements.
  • Fluency in Turkish; intermediate English preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing training programs, coaching, and Lean / TPS initiatives.
