As the Training Programs Specialist and a member of the Center of Continuing Education and Professional Development team, you are expected to be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of professional development initiatives, from strategic needs assessment to program delivery and evaluation. The role exists to bridge the gap between market demand and academic expertise, ensuring the University provides high-impact, high-quality training solutions that enhance workforce competencies and support the University's mission as a leading provider of continuous learning.
1. Develop and implement comprehensive action plans to identify training gaps through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and consultations with line managers and clients.
2. Contribute to the development and execution of the department's operational and business plans, ensuring alignment with the University's broader strategic objectives.
3. Lead workshops and meetings with diverse stakeholders to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of existing programs and identify emerging market needs.
4. Create, develop, and refine training programs and instructional materials, including procedure manuals, participant handouts, and visual aids.
5. Evaluate training content provided by external instructors (outlines, texts, and media) to ensure it meets University standards, suggesting updates or improvements where necessary.
6. Systematically monitor and record training activities to evaluate program impact; provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
7. Provide ongoing input to refine departmental processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with global best practices in professional development.
8. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, government entities, and professional associations to expand the center's reach.
9. Represent the center at events, awareness sessions, and workshops to promote its position as a premier, reliable training provider.
10. Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries regarding program schedules, fees, and enrollment, ensuring high-quality service across all communication channels (email, phone, in-person).
11. Oversee the full logistical cycle of training delivery, ensuring that schedules, trainee lists, classrooms, "welcome packs," equipment, and certificates are prepared and verified before program commencement.
12. Maintain and update an accurate, secure database of contacts, including trainees, instructors, vendors, and prospective corporate clients.
13. Generate accurate and timely reports, statistics, and data analyses as requested by management to support evidence-based decision-making.
14. Complete any other job-related tasks as assigned by the line manager in the concerned college/department within the expected time limit.
