The Training Specialist supports company-wide training and development initiatives to ensure employees have the tools, resources, and knowledge to succeed. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating training programs, maintaining accurate records, and providing support across multiple departments to ensure consistency, compliance, and employee growth.
- Design, update and deliver training programs across conventional, affordable, and mixed-use communities, ensuring content meets operational and regulatory needs.
- Develop learning modules, training materials, and evaluation methods to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate onboarding and provide one-on-one or group training for new hires, new properties, and portfolio-wide initiatives.
- Provide expert training and support on operational systems such as Yardi, RentCafe, CRM IQ, RealPage, and related platforms.
- Partner with managers to identify performance gaps and deliver targeted training solutions.
- Assist in planning and executing company-wide events, meetings, and special projects within established timelines.
- Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with Operations, Training, Marketing, IT, and on-site teams to ensure consistent communication and resource alignment.
- Manage course creation, assignment, and reporting in the LMS, ensuring training compliance and timely completion.
- Research and evaluate new tools, best practices, and industry trends to enhance the company's training programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the property management industry, preferably in sales or leasing.
- Prior training or human resources experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and remote work platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of Yardi Voyager 7S required; experience with RealPage, Edge2Learn, and other industry systems preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and support learners of varying skill levels.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between sites and events as needed.
- Competitive salary based on experience
- 152 hours (19 days) PTO annually, plus carry-over up to 120 hours and longevity PTO at 5 and 9 years
