Job purpose:

To manage transformation and improvement projects in the EB (Employee Benefits) vertical for the system, process-related and business initiatives – from initiation to go-live. To understand the business challenge at hand, act as a focal point to other teams to coordinate and facilitate requirement gathering. To strive to implement the best process practices to achieve efficiencies and work on projects to bridge the gaps from the current state to the desired state.



Key Responsibilities

  • Be the focal point of contact for the EB teams for new projects & initiatives
  • Identify the ideas that are best aligned with the EB organization’s objectives
  • Identify opportunities to implement changes based on the best market practices
  • To clearly identify the stakeholders and support both in terms of expectations and execution


Operational & technical responsibilities

  • Prepare the project charters defining the timelines, actions, and milestones
  • Engage with key stakeholders at all levels and influence change and create buy-in and support
  • Define and execute the change management aspects of projects and initiatives
  • Get involved in execution, delivery, and tracking of each project
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (development background is an advantage)
  • Communicate the status of milestones and deliverables across the projects
  • Work to ensure that the projects stay on track
  • For IT related initiatives, support on the coordination of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by the teams, and facilitate the sign-off
  • Identify potential project impacts on business teams, other systems, data, and customer. To propose and implement mitigations/solutions for the impact to ensure smooth project delivery



Minimum requirements of role:


Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in project management in the insurance industry
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and relationships between multiple teams
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, and run effective meetings to drive outcomes and agreed actions
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information to be easily digestible for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with ability to plan ahead


Desirable:

  • Project Management certifications (such as PMP)
  • Process re-design and improvement certifications (such as Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Technical knowledge/ background on systems development (IT)
  • Candidates with Business Analyst, IT software/ applications development and enhancement would also be welcome to apply
  • Healthcare experience
  • Presentation skills/ability to deliver compelling & engaging presentations.
