This is a non-exempt position under the direct supervision of the Transit Maintenance Supervisor. The Utility Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor tasks and equipment tasks to include the ability to detail, clean, and maintain fleet vehicles. May perform duties of similar classification of an equal or lower pay grade as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or GED

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older by the date of appointment to meet the requirements of the CDL

Class B, Commercial Driver's License, unrestricted, with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement at the time of appointment

License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on Pueblo Transit business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification

During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify Pueblo Transit immediately upon changes to the status of their license
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As a condition of the employment offer, the selected candidate must possess an unrestricted Colorado CDL Permit by the time of hire. Within the first six months of employment, the incumbent must obtain a valid Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the P-2 endorsement.
The required license must be maintained throughout the term of employment. Failure to obtain the license may result in demotion or termination. Failure to maintain the license may result in demotion or termination.
Due to Federal and State Criminal Justice System access requirements, classifications that access and maintain criminal justice information may also be required, as a condition of employment, to not have been convicted of and/or have pending charges of a felony or misdemeanor crime that would deny or otherwise restrict access to criminal justice information. This requirement applies to all existing employees as well as external candidates seeking to fill positions that meet the given criteria.
