Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transmission Consultant to support the planning, design, rollout, and optimization of transmission networks. The role involves evaluating and coordinating microwave and fiber network expansion, ensuring compliance with technical standards, managing vendor interfaces, and driving timely implementation of rollout projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and analyses to support central planning and ensure compliance with MW budgets.
• Monitor transmission networks to track directional radio expansion and check compliance with planning specifications in the access network.
• Manage directional radio frequency applications and coordinate contract interfaces with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead strategic transportation network planning initiatives.
• Participate in agile working groups (e.g., CoC – Center of Competence) and independently manage tasks from Kanban boards.
• Coordinate microwave planning and ordering processes in alignment with project timelines.
• Evaluate and manage microwave rollout implementation, coordinating with regional planners.
• Conduct network design evaluations, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with suppliers and internal contacts.
• Ensure timely database documentation and push for the fastest possible rollout execution.
• Provide accurate reporting to enable quality assurance measures.
• Track KPIs and relevant triggers, initiating corrective measures as needed.
• Design plan routings in planning software for end-to-end connectivity.
• Follow up on applications and allocation of microwave frequency permits (where applicable).
• Support and maintain interfaces with ongoing rollout and development projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in transmission or mobile network planning roles.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong background in planning and coordinating mobile transport aggregation networks (Ethernet, IP, Fiber).

  • Solid knowledge of transmission network planning, especially fiber and microwave networks.

  • Familiarity with general contractor/vendor management and project management.

• Methodologies: Understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Spotify model).
• Languages: Good in German (written and spoken).
