Transmission Planning Senior Engineer.Access Network Development

Job Purpose

To develop, design, plan and implement Transmission planning strategies, plans and procedures to ensure the network has the necessary fixed Transmission requirements on time to achieve site rollout, network optimization & availability

Report To Position Name

Planning & Introducing the SDH solution in Etisalat Core & Regional Network in East Cairo region in order to serve core requirements, Rollout & IP backbone network transmissionHandling all integrations and creations on SDH NodesDetailed low level design for each circuit migration from Node to other.Handling physical connectivity Data Base of SDH NodesEnsuring protection mechanisms on each created serviceHandling any TE L.L Follow up / Testing with TE and IPD teamHandling Utilization reports for SDH ports/link/nodesExpansions Plans needed on Etisalat SDH NodesAuditing the Core & Regional TX network in East Cairo and Issuing Long Term Plans to effectively use the ADM products to ensure network optimization that will result in Departmental CAPEX & OPEX savings.E1’s, STM-1’s ordering, rerouting & cancelling for the purpose of new Access sites Rollout, new nodes introduction at the Core nodes sites, for the connections between Etisalat and TE, Vodafone & Mobinil to align with departmental business plan for wide network coverage.Planning for the synchronization needs for East Cairo transmission equipments, BSS, RNCs & MGWs in all regions.Establishing new International routes by assuring Transmission availability and introducing transmission solutions to save OPEX.Tackling & studying the roadmap of the current vendors’ equipment and other vendors in the market to provide new solutions with the state of the art technology with a successful Business Case in order to align with departmental goals and strategies.Auditing & control FTX LL budget in East Cairo Regions and Raising flag for any issue that may disturb the budget controlInterface with TE management for any issue related to TX. Invoices or TX. pending linksFTX New nodes orders and BOQ revision to match Etisalat forecast requirementsIssuing and updating the regular reports of the fixed transmission network briefing the main issues for the different projects, the achievements and the concerns as well as Network Database update in order to keep upper management updated by raising flag for any issue that may disturb the running projects to meet their deadlines.Handling physical connectivity Data Base of FTX NodesEnsuring protection mechanisms & QoS applied on each created serviceProviding solutions for B2B customers offers and participating in tenders and customer visitsDetailed low level design for each circuit integration of 2G & 3G sites and expansionsHandling RFS & PAC of FTX nodes contract managementHandling all integrations and creations on FTX nodes/RingsHandling & Providing low level design & creation of IT networks & Customer Care

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

University Degree in Telecommunication Engineering Excellent Computer skills is a must, especially MS excel. Excellent in Arabic & English (Reading, Writing & Oral). Strong in Transmission Planning techniques, knowledge of Transmission theories, Experience with different fixed transmission equipments.

Knowledge of MW transmission Knowledge of IP fundamentals

Minimum 4 to 7 years Experience. Area of experience :Telecommunication
