Transport Controller

Role Overview:

The Transport Controller ensures smooth cargo movements by coordinating transport activities, managing documentation, monitoring schedules, resolving issues, and supporting client requirements. The role demands strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee transport schedules, documentation, and distribution.
• Monitor ETAs, update clients, and manage capacity allocation.
• Handle client queries, provide reports, and resolve exceptions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and ground teams for seamless operations.
• Manage incidents (accidents, delays, risk events) and arrange escorts for high-value cargo.
• Oversee a small team (2–4 staff) and contribute to SOPs and process improvements.
• Analyze operational data, develop KPIs, and present performance insights to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years’ experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• Prior exposure to managing small teams desirable.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis, KPI management, and reporting.
• Experience in building dashboards (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
• Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
