Transport Executive

A Transport Executive ensures the efficient movement of goods or personnel, optimizes transportation workflows, and upholds service quality. They coordinate with operations, supply chain, customer service, and external partners to achieve timely deliveries, cost savings, and high satisfaction ratings. The role typically reports to the Logistics Manager and measures success via KPIs like on‑time delivery, cost per mile, and transportation spend efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Plan & execute transport operations: Develop and manage delivery routes and schedules within budget and time constraints.
• Route and carrier optimization: Analyze route efficiency, select carriers, and negotiate freight rates.
• Cross-functional coordination: Liaise with warehousing, procurement, customer service, and external vendors to align logistics efforts.
• Mentoring & supervision: Guide transport coordinators, dispatchers, and drivers to maintain operational excellence.
• Process improvements: Identify inefficiencies, apply innovations, and continuously improve transport systems.
• Compliance & safety: Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations, safety protocols, and standards.
• Customer and tech interface: Use transportation technology platforms, handle client queries, and troubleshoot issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3–5 years in transport operations or logistics, with experience in carrier management and freight negotiation.
• Technical proficiency: Skilled in TMS, route optimization tools, GPS trackers, ELDs, and Excel-based analytics.
• Soft skills: Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, leadership, adaptability, and customer orientation.
• Industry knowledge: Familiar with transportation regulations, safety standards, carrier compliance, and global shipping practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
