Job Summary:

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily transportation operations to ensure efficient, safe, and timely measures. The role involves managing drivers, vehicles, routes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule transport routes and deliveries to optimize time and costs.
• Coordinate daily vehicle assignments and ensure proper utilization of the fleet.
• Monitor vehicle movements, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure timely dispatch and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate transport records (trip sheets, delivery logs, maintenance reports, etc.).
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to meet timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
• Manage driver rosters, performance, and discipline where necessary.
• Handle transport-related documentation such as permits, insurance, and registration renewals.
• Identify areas for improvement in transport efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in transportation coordination.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management and transport operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/transport management software (e.g., SAP, TMS).
• Familiarity with transport laws and safety regulations.
