Key Responsibilities1. Transport & Fleet Management
- Plan, organize, and manage daily transportation operations.
- Ensure timely movement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
- Optimize routes, fuel usage, load capacity, and trip efficiency.
- Monitor GPS tracking, driver behavior, and trip performance.
- Maintain updated records of vehicle documents (RC, insurance, permit, fitness, PUC, etc.).
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in different types of vehicles.
- Coordinate preventive & breakdown maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for safety, performance, and compliance.
- Manage workshops and supervise mechanics/technicians.
- Source spare parts, negotiate rates, and maintain inventories.
- Evaluate repair cost estimates and approve maintenance bills.
3. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Ensure timely dispatch & receipt of goods.
- Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal departments.
- Maintain MIS reports on transport, vehicle status, and cost control.
- Verify GRN, delivery challans, shipment documentation, and compliance.
4. Driver & Staff Management
- Supervise and allocate drivers/operators for vehicles & machinery.
- Conduct driver training on safety, vehicle handling, and fuel-efficient driving.
- Ensure driver discipline, attendance, and statutory compliance (ESI, PF, etc.).
5. Safety, Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with Motor Vehicle Act and transport regulations.
- Implement safety standards for loading/unloading operations.
- Conduct regular audits of fleet, workshop, and transport documentation.
6. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Prepare and monitor transport & maintenance budgets.
- Reduce fuel, maintenance, and operational costs through efficiency planning.
- Analyze trips, mileage, and cost per km for performance improvement.
Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation
- Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in transport/logistics management.
- Hands-on expertise in repairing LMVs, HMVs, trucks, buses, loaders, dumpers, forklifts, etc.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Experience in workshop supervision and spare parts management.
- Familiarity with GPS, transport software, trip sheets, and MIS reporting.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
