Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead end-to-end transportation, fleet, and logistics operations. The role involves managing vehicles, drivers, garage operations, compliance, vendor coordination, and safety standards to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport & Operations Management

• Plan, direct, and oversee all transportation operations
• Allocate duties to supervisors and drivers as per operational schedules
• Coordinate with Operations teams for scheduled, non-scheduled, VIP, and outdoor operations
• Prepare and manage monthly duty rosters, overtime planning, and shift optimization
• Monitor daily overtime, absenteeism, and implement control measures
• Manage logistics planning and route optimization to ensure on-time performance

Fleet, Garage & Mechanical Management

• Oversee availability, movement, and maintenance of fleet including:

– Hi-loaders
– Two-wheelers

• Manage garage and mechanical teams for preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure daily vehicle inspections and roadworthiness
• Monitor breakdown handling, workshop coordination, and vehicle turnaround
• Issue job cards for repairs and maintain detailed maintenance records
• Ensure deep cleaning, hygiene, and documentation as per ISO standards

Driver & Compliance Management

• Maintain complete records of drivers including licenses, ADP details, and validity
• Ensure timely renewal of licenses and regulatory documents
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, airline SOPs, AVSEC norms, ramp safety, and road safety regulations
• Conduct regular driver training on safety, hi-loader operations, and defensive driving
• Maintain training records and compliance documentation

Vendor Development & Stakeholder Coordination

• Develop and manage vendors for vehicle maintenance, spares, and services
• Coordinate with service providers and workshops for quality and timely maintenance
• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Documentation, Audits & Safety

• Maintain transport, garage, and maintenance registers in line with ISO and audit requirements
• Review duty allocation sheets, shift reports, maintenance logs, and cleaning records
• Conduct safety audits and attend safety meetings
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance across transport operations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience of 8+ years in Transport / Fleet / Operations Management
• Strong knowledge of logistics planning, fleet maintenance, and compliance
• Experience managing drivers, supervisors, and mechanical teams
• Sound understanding of safety, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
