Transport Officer

1. Transport Operations & Fleet Management

• Plan, schedule, and manage daily transport routes for students and staff.
• Ensure optimal utilization of buses and vehicles.
• Monitor bus timings, routes, and punctuality.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, and fitness certification to ensure roadworthiness.

2. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to CBSE, RTO, and school transport safety guidelines .
• Conduct regular safety drills and awareness sessions for drivers, conductors, and students.
• Maintain updated records of licenses, vehicle insurance, PUC, and permits.
• Monitor GPS tracking systems for real-time route and safety compliance.

3. Team Management

• Supervise, train, and manage drivers and attendants.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and accountability within the transport team.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews of transport staff.

4. Parent & School Coordination

• Act as the point of contact for transport-related queries from parents and staff.
• Resolve complaints and grievances promptly.
• Coordinate with school authorities for special events, excursions, and emergency transport needs.

5. Budgeting & Reporting

• Manage the transport budget, including fuel, maintenance, and staff costs.
• Maintain transport-related records and generate monthly reports for management review.
• Ensure cost optimization without compromising safety and service quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in any discipline (preferably with specialization in logistics/transport management).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing transport operations, preferably in an educational institution.
• Strong knowledge of local transport laws, RTO compliance, and school safety regulations .
• Proficiency in GPS-based tracking systems and MS Office.

Job Type: Full-time
