Transportation Coordinator

Social Vocational Services, Inc. (SVS) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator to oversee and manage transportation operations across Salinas, Marina, and Soledad.

Position Summary
As a Transportation Coordinator– Make a Difference Every Mile! By ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of SVS vehicles and drivers. This role includes Driver training and coaching, route coordination, vehicle maintenance oversight, and safety compliance.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4 PM (full-time, in-person)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are safe and available daily; conduct weekly site visits
• Manage preventative maintenance, repairs, rentals, and telematics adjustments
• Communicate with Program Directors and staff regarding vehicle and driver safety
• Train SVS drivers and monitor driving behavior using telematics data
• Coordinate vehicle delivery between sites and vendors
• Investigate vehicle collisions and complete documentation
• Prepare monthly reports on vehicle expenditures, mileage, and fuel usage
• Serve as liaison for vehicle assignments and telematics reconciliation
• Perform other duties as assigned by Transportation Manager
• Act as a Mandated Abuse Reporter

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid California driver’s license
• Must be 25 years of age or older (Required to arrange rental vehicle for Program offices)
• Ability to pass health screening and DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Familiarity with general vehicle maintenance and ability to work independently.
• Familiar with using computers to enter and update records (will train if you can type).
• Maintain valid vehicle insurance.
