We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly responsive Transportation Coordinator to support high‑volume freight operations for our distribution facilities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely, accurate, and cost‑effective shipments by managing freight quotes, coordinating carrier pickups, and resolving daily transportation issues in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.

- Obtain a high volume of freight quotes for LTL, partial truckload, and full truckload shipments and communicate pricing and transit details to Sales within tight deadlines.
- Coordinate with carriers to arrange pickups and ensure all time‑sensitive shipment requirements are met.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding high freight costs, extended transit times, and shipment delays.
- Process a high daily volume of orders in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Consolidate freight into shipments, update shipment financials, select best‑value carriers, and generate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping labels.
- Accurately build palletized shipments in the TMS, including weights, dimensions, freight class, and shipment details.
- Ensure shipment setup and shipping notes align with quoted details to minimize billing discrepancies and service issues.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve exceptions such as late pickups, delayed carrier arrivals, and service failures.
- Apply working knowledge of NMFC codes, freight class, and general freight market conditions to support accurate shipping decisions.
- Perform work in compliance with Multiquip JSox policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager in support of daily operations.
- Bachelor's degree required; preference for Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or freight operations preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of LTL, partial truckload, and full truckload shipping.
- Familiarity with NMFC codes and freight class preferred.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or shipping systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with urgency in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
