Transportation Dispatch Assistant (Entry Level)

Job Overview
Safe-T Transportation is seeking an organized and reliable NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Dispatcher/Schedule Coordinator to join our team. Scheduling and Dispatch

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules for drivers and vehicles
• Assign trips based on driver availability, vehicle type, and location
• Monitor schedules to ensure pickups and drop-offs occur on time
• Adjust routes and schedules as needed to accommodate delays or changes

Driver Coordination

• Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding schedules and trip updates
• Assist drivers with directions, schedule changes, and operational questions
• Track driver status and availability to maintain efficient dispatching

Client Communication

• Answer incoming calls from clients and healthcare facilities
• Confirm transportation appointments and provide pickup time updates
• Handle scheduling changes, cancellations, and new trip requests

Operational Monitoring

• Monitor trips and ensure drivers follow assigned routes and schedules
• Address service issues quickly to maintain customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate trip records and scheduling logs

Administrative Support

• Enter trip information into the scheduling system
• Maintain accurate records of daily transportation activity
• Assist management with operational reports when needed

Requirements

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and phone skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with scheduling software
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dispatching or scheduling experience
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
• Familiarity with routing or dispatch software

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Hourly W-2 position
• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Schedule may include evenings or weekends depending on operational needs
