Transportation Dispatcher

Colonie Senior Service Centers is looking for a part-time Transportation Dispatcher. We are looking for a caring, organized individual to help support our transportation program. This position ensures that seniors in our community receive safe, dependable rides to the places they need to go. This position is Monday-Friday, 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

What you’ll do:

· Coordinate daily transportation schedules

· Dispatch drivers and support fleet operations

· Work with outside agencies to reconcile monthly transport

· Keep accurate records and help maintain smooth operations

· Backup to the Transportation Supervisor

What we’re looking for:

· Familiarity with vehicles and the Town of Colonie

· Comfort using dispatching software and Microsoft Excel

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· A positive attitude and the ability to work well with staff and clients

· An understanding of the needs of older adults

· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
