Transportation Manager
Eagle Point School District is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead all aspects of student transportation operations. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant transportation services for all students, including those requiring specialized support. The Transportation Manager provides leadership to staff, builds effective systems, and ensures accountability across the department to maintain high standards of safety and service.
About the Role
In this role, you will oversee daily operations, including staff supervision, routing systems, and service delivery. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district transportation regulations, including Special Education requirements. You will also lead safety initiatives, oversee training programs delivered by qualified personnel, and respond to concerns, complaints, and investigations related to transportation services. The position requires collaboration with school administrators and Special Education teams to ensure appropriate transportation supports for students. You will also manage the department budget, oversee resource allocation, ensure fleet maintenance systems are functioning effectively, and maintain communication with families, staff, and the broader community.

We are looking for a strong, systems-minded leader who can manage people, processes, and compliance requirements without losing sight of student safety and service quality. The ideal candidate has experience supervising staff and managing performance, along with the ability to navigate complex operational environments. You should be organized, decisive, and capable of handling conflict and accountability in a professional and consistent manner. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as this role requires working with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, families, and administrators. Candidates should have knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, state and federal transportation laws and regulations. Experience in K–12 transportation systems, routing, logistics, budgeting, or regulatory environments is preferred. A CDL or bus driver trainer certification is not required but may be obtained after hire.

Title: Transportation Manager
Placement: Transportation Dept. - Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Director of Human Services or Director of Business Services
Contract Days: 261 Days per year/ 8 hours per day to begin immediately
Salary Range: $81,657 - $96,515 per year (prorated based on start date and duration)
Salary placement will be dependent upon verified full-time experience.
