Position Summary: Under general supervision, assigns drivers to cover required work; schedule and coordinate efficient and effective transportation for patients requiring services; keeps necessary records; handles complaints on routing and scheduling; assist and provide support to Transportation staff.
Critical Tasks:
- Reviews documentation for specific scheduling needs and profile critical timelines to ensure transportation schedules show appropriate details based upon requirements.
- C ompiles and analyzes a wide variety of ridership, scheduling, operations, and field data to develop and maintain efficient fixed transit routes of regular and complex schedules.
- Serves as a liaison by maintaining, publishing, and presenting relevant planning and scheduling information and metrics to provide visibility and communicate potential issues to supervisor/management.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
- Uses experience and resources, in addition to regulation, policy and procedures, to determine consistent courses of action and implementation.
- Develop contingency options with the team to accelerate schedules.
- Develop work-around solutions as required.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and Community Health Services.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant planning/scheduling experience.
- Practical knowledge of common planning and scheduling terms, techniques and tools.
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and in writing.
- Ability to confidently bring order and organization to any team.
