About the Role:
The Transporter plays a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital. This position requires professionalism, attention to safety, and strong communication while working closely with clinical and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport patients and required equipment between nursing units, treatment areas, and other designated locations in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Deliver supplies, equipment, medications, and other materials to patient units and designated areas in a safe, accurate, and timely manner; ensure proper medication handoff with nursing staff.

Perform routine inspections and cleaning/disinfecting procedures on all transportation equipment.

Accurately document transportation activity using the Transport Tracking System and/or required forms and logs.

Monitor transportation workflows and promptly report delays, issues, or unusual activities to the supervising manager.

Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, hospital personnel, and fellow employees at all times.
