Shift Specifics:
- Mon. - Fri. from 1:00pm to 10:00pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (includes but NOT limited to)
- The driver/Operator is responsible for the safe driving and operation of the rear load refuse truck.
- The driver/Operator would be responsible for being proficient in completing the daily downtown route in the area and hauling to the local landfill to unload.
- Must wear appropriate PPE
- Follow the route sheet daily to provide service to customers
- Crew leader as the driver and supervises the trash collectors/bumpers on the back of the truck
- Ensure the safety of the truck and trash collectors/bumpers
- Conducting vehicle pre-trip & post-trip inspection daily
- May need to lift items up to 50lbs
- Keep truck & work areas clean and tidy, including behind the trash blade
- Make deliveries of company equipment if requested
- Transporting vehicles to/from repair shops
- Assist other employees & other company needs as requested

- Valid state driver's license with state-required ratings for commercial passenger services, and with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Be able to pass medical and vision certification as required by state CDL guidelines.
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by the shuttle bus systems and components.
- Must become certified on all shuttle bus operations and pass assessment testing.
