American Traveler is hiring an LVN/LPN for a skilled home health assignment in the St. Pete/Largo, FL area, requiring OASIS experience, infusion skills, and a minimum of 1 year of home health experience.

Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
-
Patient population includes complex diagnoses such as HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as general medical and post-op cases
-
Performs cardiopulmonary assessments, basic and advanced wound care (ABI compression, wound vac, Pleurx/Asept drain), foley catheter care, staple/suture removal, SQ/IM injections, lab draw/venipuncture, IV skills, PICC line or midline care and dressing changes, SQ port access/deaccess, glucometer and pro-time machine use

Averages 6–8 skilled home visits per day, self-scheduled based on HomeCare office needs

Shift hours vary based on office needs: Mon–Fri 8a–5p or 9a–6p, with possible Thurs–Mon or Fri–Tues schedules and alternating weekend shifts

Charting and documentation via BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet system

Laptop, MiFi, and portable printer provided for field use

Current LPN or LVN license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted

OASIS training and experience required

Infusion experience required, including IV skills and wound care

Current BLS (BCLS) certification required
-
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
-
COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
-
Flu vaccination or signed declination required; mask must be worn at all times while on assignment regardless of vaccination status

Solid color scrubs required

Schedule is self-directed and varies based on the HomeCare office's daily visit needs

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required for consideration
