American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a contract position serving an adult to geriatric patient population.

Home health setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population

Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day with an average daily census of 80
-
Clinical focus areas include assessments, documentation, orthopedics, and neurology
-
Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30); no weekend shifts

Floating within scope of practice may be required

Home Care Home Base (HCHB) EMR — experience highly preferred
-
Contract lengths are flexible, ranging from 12 to 20 weeks
-
Minimum 1 year of home health PT experience required; candidates with 6 months of experience will be screened on a case-by-case basis

Active GA PT license or PT Compact license (compact member state eligibility must be verified)

Current BLS certification required

License required if applicable

Experience with orthopedics and neurology preferred

Home Care Home Base (HCHB) experience highly preferred

First-time travelers are accepted and will be considered for this position

Local candidates are accepted

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred at the time of consideration

RTO maximum is 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2 of them
-
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule modifications are permitted

Full compliance is required prior to start; incomplete compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
