Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a contract position serving an adult to geriatric patient population.

Details

• Home health setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day with an average daily census of 80
• Clinical focus areas include assessments, documentation, orthopedics, and neurology
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30); no weekend shifts
• Floating within scope of practice may be required
• Home Care Home Base (HCHB) EMR — experience highly preferred
• Contract lengths are flexible, ranging from 12 to 20 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health PT experience required; candidates with 6 months of experience will be screened on a case-by-case basis
• Active GA PT license or PT Compact license (compact member state eligibility must be verified)
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedics and neurology preferred
• Home Care Home Base (HCHB) experience highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted and will be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred at the time of consideration
• RTO maximum is 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule modifications are permitted
• Full compliance is required prior to start; incomplete compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
