American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience for a 13-week contract at a hospital-based outpatient PT department with occasional inpatient flex coverage.

Primarily hospital-based outpatient physical therapy setting, with the possibility of flexing into the inpatient medical-surgical and rehab unit
-
Patient population ranges from juvenile (typically age 5+) to geriatric
-
Common diagnoses include total joint replacements, back/shoulder/foot pain, and neurological conditions such as TBI, stroke, and Parkinson's disease
-
Caseload of 8–10 patients per day

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (closed 12:00–1:00 PM for lunch), 8-hour shifts

Weekend rotation required approximately once every 5 weekends, covering inpatient units

May be included in holiday rotation coverage

Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required; candidates with inpatient-only experience may also be considered

Current PT state license required if applicable

BLS certification required

Ability to flex into inpatient settings as needed

Core responsibilities include comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering skilled interventions, monitoring patient progress, patient and family education, care coordination, and compliant documentation

Department is supported by 2 PTAs

Orientation consists of 1–2 shifts with a preceptor; online modules must be completed prior to working the floor

Dress code is business casual (collared shirt, khaki or black pants) or solid-colored scrubs
