Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience for a 13-week travel contract in Illinois.

• Patient population includes those with musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Floating to clinically appropriate units may be required within the clinician's scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Active IL Physical Therapy license required (or compact eligibility); license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt quickly to new environments

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and diagnosing patients, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure continuity of care
• Patient and family education on home exercise programs and recovery techniques is a key component of this role
• Accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards is required
